Welcome And Lean Labs Foundation

During week 1 (or your first weeks with LL if you’re easing into onboarding), OUR main focus is helping you understand Lean Labs and how to succeed here.  This starts with telling you who we are and who we serve and giving you the 411 on the tools we use to get things done.

YOUR main focus is being a sponge, and soaking up all the knowledge you can between setting up your accounts, getting acclimated to your new team, and watching (and re-watching) lots of videos.

Week 2

What We Do and How We Do It

Welcome to week 2! By now, you should have a solid foundation of LL, your role here, and how to accomplish it! 

This week, you’ll learn more about what we do (the services we offer) and how we do it for our clients. Understanding these key principles is the foundation you need to produce good work, so track questions/concerns or unknowns to your manager or another marketer.

This week, your goal is to work full-time (whatever that looks like for you) and run your time like the fully-fledged Lean Labs team member you are. This means completing daily onboarding and weekly tasks to start establishing a routine to set you up for success.

*Note: We realize everyone’s onboarding process/timeline is different. You may not yet be working “full-time” hours, especially if you’re trying to ease into onboarding before you officially start your role at LL.

Week 3

It's All About Strategy

Welcome to week three, and congrats on making it through your first full-time week at LL!

This week, we'll build on the foundation you've learned these past two weeks and start diving into strategy. You’ll learn how to think about it from the LL perspective, to prep and present strategies to our clients, and how to set up approved strategies as internal campaigns ready to execute.

Week 4

Let's Get To Work

You're around month into your Lean Labs journey. Give yourself a pat on the back for how hard your brain has worked these past four weeks.

Now that you understand many of our behind-the-scenes processes and how we present them to clients, it's a great time to get to know the clients/accounts you'll be working on and do some real marketing work for current campaigns.

  • Go through all the TEAL sections on the MINDMAP
  • Conduct KW research for a given client/campaign

    Remember, not every KW you present will get approved, so come with plenty of backups! *Mallory is your helper if you need one

  • Use your KWs to create enough blogs/titles for a strategy

    We work in three-month sprints, so this is likely 12 titles + 4 backup options! *Mallory is your helper if you need one

  • Create a batch of 4 outlines from your approved KWs

    *Mallory is your helper if you need one (Note from Mallory: use the outline from Mallory as a next step after filling out the appropriate columns on the KW spreadsheet. Then send to Mallory.  Then fill out the content outlines, send to Mallory. Then write after she approves outlines.)

    Your final deliverable is a Loom explaining why you chose the KWs and walking us through the outlines.

  • write a batch of content from your approved outlines

    Follow the content creation process and present for approval to Mallory once the batch is ready for review (Use the #leanlabs-collab channel in Slack to deliver & be sure to @ Mallory).

  • How to manage relationships with clients and run productive client meetings and campaign sprints
