10 Best Growth Marketing Tools to Help You Save Time and Grow Faster

Do you need help growing your business? Of course, you do! As entrepreneurs and business owners, we always look for ways to scale and grow in today’s competitive market.

Growth marketing tools provide a more holistic view of the customer journey, letting you optimize your efforts at each stage of the funnel. For example, a tool might help identify which pages on your website are causing the most drop-offs or which channels drive the most high-quality leads.

Growth marketing is a great way to increase sales, generate buzz, and build brand awareness. By optimizing each stage of the funnel, you can achieve greater efficiency and better results, ultimately driving long-term success.

The problem with growth marketing is that so many tools are available, so choosing which ones are right for your company can be overwhelming. If this sounds familiar, read on! We've compiled a list of our favorite ten growth marketing tools, why we love them (and why you probably will, too).

One key reason these tools are effective is that they allow marketers to collect and analyze large amounts of data. By doing so, marketers can better understand customer behavior and tailor their marketing campaigns and messaging to better resonate with their target audience. This data-driven approach enables companies to make data-backed decisions rather than relying on intuition or guesswork.

Growth marketing tools often use automation to streamline marketing activities. For example, a growth marketing tool might automate email campaigns or social media posts, allowing marketers to focus on higher-level strategy and creativity. By automating repetitive tasks, growth marketing tools can save time and resources, freeing you up to focus on more high-impact activities, like growth.

Our Fave Growth Marketing Tools (and why!)

However, only some growth marketing tools will be right for your business. Understanding top tools and what they do can help you narrow down which might be most helpful. Here are nine tools we (and other agencies) regularly use to get you started.

1. Typeform

Typeform is a survey tool that helps you collect customer feedback or gather information about them. It's also easy to use and has a great user experience (you can check out our Typeform here).

Typeform isn't just a tool for collecting data--it can also be used to create surveys, quizzes, and forms. If you want to know your audience's thoughts about your product or service before launching it into the world, this could be an option worth exploring further!

The best part? Typeform is very affordable: Plans start at just $29/month with no credit card required during the trial period--and don't forget there are no contracts either, so if things don't work out after 30 days, there won't be any fees involved in canceling your account either!

2. UserTesting

UserTesting is a website that allows you to test your website, app, or prototype with real users. You can see exactly what your users do and don't like about your product and get feedback on your landing page, sales page, and more.

It's one of the best growth marketing tools because it helps you improve conversion rates by giving you real-time actionable data from actual users as they interact with your site or product in the wild!

3. Optimizely

Optimizely helps you run A/B tests or compare two similar versions of a market asset to see which performs better. Optimizly also offers an iOS and Android app to run A/B tests on any device.

As a marketer, you could use Optimizely to do things like:

  • Test different headlines on a landing page to see which ones result in higher conversion rates.
  • Test different calls-to-action (CTAs) on an email signup form to see which gets more people signing up for your newsletter.
  • Test different layouts for a landing page to see which gets more clicks or conversions.
  • Test different messages on your website to see which ones get better results with your target audience.

4. Hotjar

Hotjar offers insights into how website visitors interact with your site using in-depth analytics and heatmaps. This information can then be used to optimize the website for conversion rates, increase sales and improve user experience - all of which are key to helping website visitors down your funnel.

Hotjar has tools that show where people click on the page, how far down they scroll, and what elements they focus on most when viewing a page. It also includes extensive features like session recordings (allowing users to record their activity), surveys and polls, form builder tools, and visitor chat rooms. All these features can be used to improve the user experience while collecting data simultaneously!

5. Google Analytics (with Goals)

If you're not using Google Analytics, you're missing out on the best tool for getting real-time data on your website.  Google Analytics is a free service provided by Google that allows users to track their website traffic and other online activity, website traffic, and ad performance in real time.

It can also be used to set up goals and funnels to help you understand how visitors interact with your site and where they interact with your content. You can also track which pages are popular and which aren't.

This helps determine where people drop off in buying so you know where to focus your efforts. The more visibility you have into your website performance, the more you can make informed decisions regarding content creation/editing or even optimizing landing pages to better market to your target audience.

6. Google Keyword Planner (Search Volume)

Google Keyword Planner is another free tool from Google that helps you find keywords with high search volume. This is an essential tool for any marketer or business owner who wants to get more traffic to their website, and I recommend using it as often as possible.

The first step when using the Google Keyword Planner is entering your keyword(s) into the box at the top of the page. The next thing you'll notice is a list of suggested phrases that match what you've entered so far.

If you want more keyword ideas, click the “Get Ideas” button. This will take you to a new page with a list of keyword suggestions related to what you entered in the first step.

If you’re not an SEO guru or intimidated by more robust keyword tools like AHREFS, Google Keyword Planner is a great place to start learning how to search and sort keywords relevant to your business.

7. Fullstory

Fullstory is a user session recording tool that can be used to record user sessions to identify bugs and development problems with your website. It's especially helpful to understand how real users interact with your product and the pain points they experience that negatively impact their user experience.

Fullstory lets you see exactly what people do on your website or in-app, including clicks, taps, and scroll movements. You can even filter by device type or operating system, so you know exactly what devices are being used at any given time (this will come in handy if you're launching an iOS app).

This innovative tool is easy to use, but it requires you to put in a little effort upfront. You'll need to set up the software and create your first user session to start using it.

8. Intercom (Customer Support)

Intercom is an all-in-one customer support tool that helps manage your customers, track user behavior, and create surveys so you can manage your customer support, sales pipeline management, and more. You can also use it to create a knowledge base for your customers.

Its easy-to-use interface makes it an excellent choice for small businesses who want an affordable way of tracking their leads without hiring an expensive agency or consultant who will charge them thousands of dollars per month just to use the software!

You can easily create surveys and add them to your site. The software is also easy to learn and use, making it a great option for small businesses or if your sales team is still developing and doesn’t need a robust CRM.

9. Heap (Customer Data Analytics)

Last but certainly not least, Heap helps you understand your customers better by tracking user behavior on your site. This lets you determine where they're dropping off, how they use your product, and which features are most popular. It also alerts you when something goes wrong so that you can fix it quickly.

The best part about this tool is its ability to track marketing campaigns--it lets you know which ads are performing well (or not), what content performs best for different types of users, and more.

Heap is particularly valuable for startups and small businesses in e-commerce, SaaS, and other digital fields since it tracks user interactions and enhances the customer acquisition process. Whether it's analyzing website visits, monitoring user engagement within mobile apps, or evaluating the effectiveness of marketing channels and campaigns, Heap’s actional insights are invaluable.

Scaling Your Business With Growth Marketing Tools

Many tools exist to help you grow your business, but you don't have to use them all! In fact, it's better if you don't. Instead, you should only pick the ones that work best for your specific business and save time by automating tasks or making them more efficient.

The next time you think about adding a new tool to your marketing arsenal, question whether or not it will make your life easier or more productive. If not, don't add it!  You can always use the time saved to do something else that will help grow your business instead or talk with a growth marketing team to weigh your options on scaling your business at an accelerated rate.
